OPEN POSITIONS


FIELD SUPERVISOR - PEST/MOSQUITO CONTROL

You will perform field applications and assist with the supervision of seasonal and temporary staff to help us provide the citizens of Lucas County with reliable mosquito control for a safe and quality environment. This position is full-time.


NIGHTTIME FOGGING TRUCK APPLICATORS - PART-TIME

Applicators will work during the evening hours and conduct adult mosquito control efforts in their assigned area. This position is part-time 25 hrs./wk., 8:00 PM – 2:00 AM, Monday through Friday.


SEASONAL SURVEILLANCE & LAB ASSISTANTS

This position includes daily collection and taxonomic identification of mosquitoes for population studies, assisting with the West Nile Virus surveillance programs, and coordinating the propagation and delivery of mosquitofish. A full-time 40 hrs./wk., 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM from May through September.


SEASONAL LARVAL CONTROL ASSISTANTS

This position includes the surveillance and collection of larval mosquitoes and conducting control applications. A full-time 40 hrs./wk., 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM from May through September.

TASD is a member of the Ohio Public Employees Retirement Plan (OPERS). OPERS is a pension plan providing fixed retirement benefits every month based on a formula that rewards years of service. TASD contributes 14.00% of the employee’s annual base salary and employees contribute 10.00% of their annual base salary. TASD also offers optional deferred compensation plans.
