SUMMER EMPLOYMENT

Toledo Area Sanitary District (mosquito control)
5015 Stickney Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43612

POSITION OPENING:

Field Technician (adult mosquito control – evening shift)

HOURS:

25 hrs./wk., 8:00 PM – 2:00 AM, Monday through Friday.
Beginning in May or early June through early October.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our nighttime adult mosquito control field technicians work under the direction of the Adulticiding Operations Manager and are responsible for operating trucks and applying mosquito control products from public roadways. The field tech will follow designated routes via GPS tablet and operate spray equipment from inside the truck cab.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 18+ years of age

• Dependable attendance

• Valid driver's license and good insurable driving record required

• Successful completion of routine pre-employment drug screening

• Good interpersonal communication skills

• Ability to read and navigate electronic maps

• Experience using ArcGIS is preferred

• No previous experience working with mosquitoes or other insects is required. Successful applicants will receive “on-the-job” training for the position.
